In Memory of Dr. David C. Greeson

The Greek mythology encircling the figure of CHIRON is of great relevance to our modern society. Because of a poisonous arrow that leaves the immortal god eternally wounded, Chiron is considered the original wounded healer archetype. In eventually giving up his immortality, he was honored as the constellation of Centaurus. Today, he is revered as a wise teacher, healer and prophet who used multiple pathways in teaching students how to flourish. Chiron is a worthy patron of our vision.
"Nobody escapes being wounded. . . whether physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. . . question is not "How can we hide our wounds?" so we don't have to be embarrassed, but "How can we put our woundedness in the service of others?" When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers."
